The End of an Era for the Ol' Blue Barn

It's VEISHEA time here at the shelter!
This past Spring, marked the end of the VEISHEA barn. The wood has become so rotten over the years that there it is no longer usable, however we plan to salvage as much as we can from what is left. Regardless, it is estimated that replacing the barn will cost $1,000 in addition to the average $8,000-10,000 that must be raised each year to make the float possible as it is a DELT tradition.
The new barn is being constructed out back and should be up very soon! Our Co-chairs are very excited to get the float here and begin the awesome transformation process. They always need donations to help make this transformation successful! Any time, materials, or money that can be donated would help them out a bunch!

Undergraduates and Alumni!
Get ready for the upcoming 2012 Karnea held in Austin, Texas this August 1st - 5th. At Karnea, the national Delt convention, we will have to opportunity to network with Delts all accross the country. There will be presentations on Truth Courage Faith Power, Ritual, Risk Management and many other assorted leadership topics. Participants also get the opportunity to make a difference in the D.C. community through a hands-on service project.
